GS is Roehm's cell-cast acrylic: highest optical quality, excellent UV stability with long no-yellowing warranties, crisp laser edges and frosty white engraving. When a specification says PLEXIGLAS GS it is calling for premium cast sheet, the grade used for signage letters, awards and design pieces.
XT is the extruded line: tighter thickness tolerance and lower cost, with the usual extruded trade-offs on scratching and bonding. Specs that name XT are asking for consistent, economical sheet for glazing, covers and diffusers.
Satinice is the satin-frosted range, velvet to the touch, fingerprint-resistant and beautifully even under light, in white and colours. In the UAE it is specified for backlit signage faces, luxury retail displays and lighting diffusers where ordinary frosted film looks cheap.
Roehm does not manufacture in the UAE; branded sheet arrives through regional distribution, sometimes on lead time. For many jobs an equivalent premium cast or frosted grade from another mill matches the performance at better price and availability. The honest question to ask a supplier: is the spec locked to the brand, or to the performance?
