Two quotes for the same acrylic piece can differ by double. Understanding what drives the final price in Dubai helps you evaluate quotes fairly and reduce cost without cutting quality.

Cast acrylic costs more than extruded because it is optically clearer and laser-cuts with a glossier edge. Thickness is the big factor: 5mm sheet runs roughly half the price per square meter of 10mm, and coloured or frosted grades add 20 to 40 percent. On a display stand order, choosing clear over coloured can save 20 to 30 percent.
Simple rectangles are cheap; intricate laser-cut patterns, pockets, engraving and polished edges add machine time. A basic counter riser in 3mm clear acrylic might cost AED 60 to 100; the same size with diamond-polished edges and UV branding costs AED 150 to 200. Complexity is where fabrication cost lives.
Line-bending a fold or thermoforming a curve adds setup and tooling cost. A single curved piece might add AED 50 to 100 in labour; a production run of 20 bent units spreads that cost thin. Solvent bonding to join pieces invisibly adds labour but saves weight and looks premium.
Direct UV printing costs AED 10 to 30 per piece depending on coverage and colour complexity; vinyl stickers cost AED 5 to 10 but peel off in hot climates or after regular cleaning. White-ink layers and full-wrap graphics with colour matching add more. Laser engraving costs less than UV printing but only works in dark or clear grades where the frosted edge shows.
Setup cost dominates one-piece jobs. The second unit is always far cheaper than the first. A prototype run of one might be AED 200; a production run of 10 matching units might be AED 120 per piece; 50 units might drop to AED 80 per piece. Planned lead time (7 working days) is cheaper than rush (3 working days, +50% cost).
Counter riser in 3mm clear, polished edges: AED 60–100 each. Menu holder, 3mm cast, UV-printed logo: AED 120–180 each for singles, AED 80–100 at 20+ units. Exhibition podium, 8mm clear, bonded construction, diamond-polished: AED 800–1200. Large retail rollout (100+ units custom displays): AED 50–150 per unit depending on complexity.
To reduce a fabrication quote: allow standard lead time, choose clear or stock colours, simplify edge finishing where unseen, and order the full production run at once, not in batches. To compare quotes fairly, confirm the sheet grade first, that is where the largest hidden savings hide.
