If you run fit-out projects, acrylic is a line in the bill of quantities that is easy to price badly. Too low and the finish fails at snagging. Too high and you lose the tender on a line that was never the point. This page is written for main contractors, joinery firms and fit-out consultants: how we price a package, what we need from you to tender, and what we hand over at the end.

Typical scopes: all acrylic signage and 3D letters on a project; partitions and infill panels within your frames; reception and feature wall elements; branded counters and desk fronts; display and merchandising systems; wayfinding and statutory sign sets; and the bespoke one-off pieces the designer drew that nobody has priced. We can take the whole acrylic section or a defined part of it, and we are comfortable sitting under your joinery package rather than beside it.
The BOQ section with item numbers, the drawings or the design intent pack, the finishes schedule if there is one, the programme with the dates that matter, and any landlord or authority criteria. If a specification says only 'acrylic', tell us the intent and we will state our assumption on the quote: grade, thickness, edge finish and whether install is included. A quote that states its assumptions is comparable. One that does not is a trap for both of us.
We issue shop drawings for approval in the format your document controller wants, with sheet references, thicknesses, fixing details and setting-out dimensions. Where a consultant needs a sample board or a mock-up before approval, we make it. Material submittals name the sheet brand and grade rather than saying clear acrylic, because that is what gets an approval through on the first pass.
We measure on site before cutting anything that fits a recess or spans between fixed points, and we do it after your framing is up. We work to your access windows, including night and weekend work in malls and towers. We prefer a short coordination call before production rather than a variation after it. Most acrylic variations on fit-out projects come from a dimension taken off a drawing instead of a wall.
Acrylic snags are usually scratches from other trades, not fabrication. Our pieces arrive with film on and we take it off at the last possible moment, which kills most of the list. At handover we provide a maintenance note, the sheet references, and spare blanks for interchangeable name plates where the system uses them. If something is damaged after handover, we can match it, because we kept the files.
Not price alone. It is a quote that states assumptions, shop drawings that pass first time, pieces that fit the wall as measured, install crews who work your night window, and one phone number when the consultant changes his mind. If you are pricing a project now, send the BOQ section and the drawings. You will get a stated-assumption quote and a programme, usually within two working days.
Send the BOQ section, the drawings and the programme. You get a quote that states grade, thickness, finish and install, shop drawings in your format, site-measured pieces and a clean handover. That is what makes the acrylic line stop being a risk.

Yes. We take the acrylic section of a BOQ, or a defined part of it, under a main contractor or joinery firm, including shop drawings, submittals, site measurement, install and handover documents.
Usually within two working days of receiving the BOQ, drawings and programme. The quote states the grade, thickness, edge finish and whether install is included, so it can be compared properly.
Yes, in your document controller's format, with sheet references, thicknesses, fixing details and setting-out dimensions. We make sample boards or mock-ups where the consultant requires one before approval.
Yes. Most of our mall and tower installs are overnight. Tell us the access rules with the enquiry so the quote covers the real install rather than a daytime assumption.
