Every big UAE show creates the same squeeze: hundreds of exhibitors, a handful of good workshops, and a fixed build-up day. Exhibitors who know the calendar order early and pay standard rates. Here is the rhythm of the year and the deadlines that matter.

Arab Health and Medlab open the year in January at DWTC. Gulfood follows in February, the biggest F&B show on earth. Spring brings Arabian Travel Market and Beautyworld. Autumn is the crunch: GITEX Global in October, then Big 5 construction and ADIPEC energy weeks apart. December closes with regional consumer shows. Each spike fills Al Quoz production for the preceding month.
Kiosks and counters need 5 to 7 working days, backlit signage 7 to 10, display walls 7 to 10, full custom builds 2 to 3 weeks. Add design approval time, a few days if you are decisive, and delivery to DWTC or ADNEC. The safe rule across all of it: confirmed order and artwork 3 weeks before build-up.
In the two weeks before GITEX or Gulfood, every laser and polisher in Al Quoz runs full shifts. A counter that takes 5 days in a quiet week takes 10 in the crunch, and rush premiums of 25 to 50 percent appear. Booking production slots early costs nothing; missing them costs either money or the piece.
Exhibitors doing 3 or more UAE shows a year should own, not re-order: a bonded acrylic counter, modular risers, literature holders and a lead-capture box pack into two crates and rebuild in an hour. Refresh the printed branding panels between shows for a fraction of a new build, AED 200 to 600 versus thousands.
Put the year's shows in the diary now, lock artwork three weeks before each build-up, and if you exhibit three times a year, buy a reusable kit instead of ordering three times.
